Round Armature Wire
Round Armature Wire is a non-corrosive, lightweight aluminium wire designed for creating strong yet adjustable armatures for sculpture, stop motion, model making and special effects applications. Its pliable nature makes it easy to bend, shape and reposition while maintaining excellent structural support for clay, wax and other modelling materials.
Ideal for artists, sculptors and prop makers, this versatile wire can be twisted together for additional strength or used individually for finer details and smaller projects.

Important: If using moist ceramic or pottery clay, Round Armature Wire should not be placed in a kiln during firing. As the clay shrinks during the firing process and the aluminium wire does not, cracking and breakage can occur. For fired clay projects, we recommend using a wet, twisted newspaper armature, which will burn away during firing, or a wax armature, which will melt out of the piece during the kiln cycle.
