4. Your Account
If you use this website, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password and for restricting access to your computer, and you agree to accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account or password. Barnes does sell products for children, but it sells them to adults, who can purchase using available purchase methods. If you are under 18, you may use Barnes only with involvement of a parent or guardian. Barnes and its affiliates reserve the right to refuse service, terminate accounts, remove or edit content, or cancel orders in their sole discretion.
5. Reviews, Comments, Communications, and other Content
Visitors may post reviews, comments, and other content; and submit suggestions, ideas, comments, questions, or other information, so long as the content is not illegal, obscene, threatening, defamatory, invasive of privacy, infringing of intellectual property rights, or otherwise injurious to third parties or objectionable and does not consist of or contain software viruses, political campaigning, commercial solicitation. All items purchased from Barnes are made pursuant to a shipment contract. This means that the risk of loss and title for such items pass to you upon our delivery to the carrier.
8. Product Descriptions
Barnes and its affiliates attempt to be as accurate as possible. However, Barnes does not warrant that product descriptions or other content of this website is accurate, complete, reliable, current, or error-free. If a product offered by Barnes itself is not as described, your sole remedy is to return it in an unused condition. We have made every effort to display as accurately as possible the colours of our products that appear on the site. However, as the actual colours you see depend on your monitor, we cannot guarantee that your monitor’s display of any colour will be accurate.

12. Applicable Law
By visiting Barnes, you agree that the laws of Australia, without regard to principles of conflict of laws, will govern these Terms and Conditions and any dispute of any sort that might arise between you and Barnes or its affiliates.
13. Disputes
Any dispute relating in any way to your visit to Barnes or to products you purchase through Barnes shall be submitted to confidential arbitration in Australia, except that, to the extent you have in any manner violated or threatened to violate Barnes intellectual property rights, Barnes may seek injunctive or other appropriate relief in any court in Australia, and you consent to exclusive jurisdiction and venue in such courts. Arbitration under this agreement shall be conducted under the rules then prevailing of an independent arbitrator. The arbitrator’s award shall be binding and may be entered as a judgment in any court of competent jurisdiction. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, no arbitration under this Agreement shall be joined to an arbitration involving any other party subject to this Agreement, whether through class arbitration proceedings or otherwise.
14. Website Policies Modification and Severability
Please review our other policies, posted on this website. These policies also govern your visit to Barnes. We reserve the right to make changes to our website, policies, and these Conditions of Use at any time. If any of these conditions shall be deemed invalid, void, or for any reason unenforceable, that condition shall be deemed severable and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining condition.
15. Cancellation of Orders
If you wish to cancel your order, please contact us as early as possible. If an order is yet to be invoiced than it can generally be stopped prior to leaving our warehouse. However, if the status of the item has been invoiced, packed or shipped this becomes more difficult to stop. We will advise you of the status of your order during our correspondence. Please note that you will incur the return costs if your order does fall in one of the above statuses and cannot be stopped. All Online Orders will need to be returned to their original dispatch location. Online orders are currently dispatched from either our Head Office which is located at 5 Greenhills Avenue, Moorebank, NSW 2170, or our Carlton North retail store at 739 Nicholson Street, VIC 3054. If you are unsure which location to return to, please email online@barnes.com.au.
Barnes Products will take all measures to fulfil your order. If the items you ordered are not available in our warehouse, we will attempt to order from the supplier. If we cancel the item from your order, as the supplier was out of stock, item is out of print or for any other reason based on not being able to supply the title/s we will inform you via email. We will REFUND you for the item on your order using the payment method that initial payment was taken.
16. Changes to Orders
We are unable to make changes to orders that have –
- Already been picked and/or packed
- Are placed during a sale or promotion
- Are placed using AFTERPAY as the payment method
If the none of the above apply, please contact online@barnes.com.au as soon as possible.
17. Acceptance or Rejection of an Order
17.1. When you place an order, you will receive an acknowledgement e-mail confirming receipt of your order. This email will only be an acknowledgment and will not constitute acceptance of your order.
17.2. Each order placed for Products through the website that we accept constitute a separate legally binding agreement between you and us for the supply of those Products. For each order accepted by us, we will:
- (a) provide you with an email confirmation of that order as soon as practicable after you have placed your order and made payment; and
- (b) supply the Products in that order to you in accordance with these Terms.
17.3. Any automated confirmation of a successful order placement and/or receipt and/or our processing of a payment for an order through the website does not constitute acceptance of an order by us. If we decline your order after a payment for the order has been processed and or received, we will contact you with the details and refund the payment in full.
Whilst we try and ensure that all details, descriptions and prices which appear on this website are accurate, errors (including processing errors) may occur. If we discover an error in the price or payment of any Products which you have ordered, we will inform you of this as soon as possible and in this instance, we reserve the right to reject your order. We have made every effort to display as accurately as possible the colours of our products that appear on the site. However, as the actual colours you see depend on your monitor, we cannot guarantee that your monitor’s display of any colour will be accurate.
Despite our best efforts, on occasion it may be possible that a small number of the products in our range may be incorrectly priced on the website. If we have made a mistake and a product’s correct price is higher than the price on the website, we may either contact you before shipping to request whether you want to buy the product at the correct price or cancel your order. If a product’s correct price is lower than the stated price on the website, we will charge the lower amount and send you the product, or where the higher incorrect price has been charged, we will refund the price difference and send you the product.
18. Click and Collect
Click ‘n’ Collect is available at our Head Office in Moorebank NSW and Carlton North VIC stores for all customers who are able to get to these locations. This service allows you to collect your online order at your convenience.
Orders will take between 12-24 hours (1-2 business days) to prepare.
Once orders are ready for collection you will receive an email. If you have not received an email after 24hr, check your account for updates.
Orders will be kept for 30 Business days. We may consider the order abandoned if no contact has been made during this time. Your order could then be cancelled.
If you are unable to collect the order personally your representative will need to provide the confirmation email and evidence that you have given permission. A member of our team may contact you for verbal confirmation.
19. Online Exclusive Bundles
Any product bundles offered on the www.barnes.com.au website are online exclusives and cannot be purchased in-store.
20. Other
Images on our website are for illustration only. Actual products may appear different to the products shown. We endeavour to have accurate images at all times.
21. Retail Store Oversized & Heavy Items
By accessing or using our retail services, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions. Please review these terms carefully. Customers wishing to purchase oversized or heavy items are limited to a maximum of four (4) units per purchase. This policy applies specifically to in-store purchases of stocked items, and the request of non-stock items from our Moorebank Head Office. Purchases exceeding four (4) units of any oversized or heavy item will incur additional freight costs. This fee is necessary to cover the extra shipping and handling expenses associated with larger orders. While our retail stores may carry several units of oversized or heavy items, customers cannot avoid freight costs by purchasing all available stock in-store. The freight cost policy applies uniformly, regardless of the stock availability in physical stores.
Oversized and Heavy Items may include but are not limited to the following – 20+kg bags of plaster, 22kg+ bags of gypsum, 25kg+ bags of talc, products packed in 20L pails, 20L cubes, and 20L open top metal pails. Fees will start at $15 excl. GST per unit and are subject to change without notice. Our retail staff will obtain a quote based on the item and quantity of your order. Payment for purchases must be made through the approved payment methods offered in-store.
22. Mobile Terms of Service
The Barnes Products mobile message service (the “Service”) is operated by Barnes Products (“Barnes Products”, “we”, or “us”). Your use of the Service constitutes your agreement to these terms and conditions (“Mobile Terms”). We may modify or cancel the Service or any of its features without notice. To the extent permitted by applicable law, we may also modify these Mobile Terms at any time and your continued use of the Service following the effective date of any such changes shall constitute your acceptance of such changes.
By consenting to Barnes Products’ SMS/text messaging service, you agree to receive recurring SMS/text messages from and on behalf of Barnes Products through your wireless provider to the mobile number you provided, even if your mobile number is registered on any state or federal Do Not Call list. Text messages may be sent using an automatic telephone dialing system or other technology. Service-related messages may include updates, alerts, and information (e.g., order updates, account alerts, etc.). Promotional messages may include promotions, specials, and other marketing offers (e.g., cart reminders).
You understand that you do not have to sign up for this program in order to make any purchases, and your consent is not a condition of any purchase with Barnes Products. Your participation in this program is completely voluntary.
We do not charge for the Service, but you are responsible for all charges and fees associated with text messaging imposed by your wireless provider. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Check your mobile plan and contact your wireless provider for details. You are solely responsible for all charges related to SMS/text messages, including charges from your wireless provider.
You may opt-out of the Service at any time. Text the single keyword command STOP to Barnes AU or click the unsubscribe link (where available) in any text message to cancel. You’ll receive a one-time opt-out confirmation text message. No further messages will be sent to your mobile device, unless initiated by you. If you have subscribed to other Barnes Products mobile message programs and wish to cancel, except where applicable law requires otherwise, you will need to opt out separately from those programs by following the instructions provided in their respective mobile terms.

We may change any short code or telephone number we use to operate the Service at any time and will notify you of these changes. To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree that we will not be liable for failed, delayed, or misdirected delivery of any information sent through the Service, any errors in such information, and/or any action you may or may not take in reliance on the information or Service.

26. Barnes 39th Birthday Giveaway – Terms & Conditions
Eligibility: Open to residents of Australia only. Entrants must be aged 18 years or over.
How to Enter: All eligible online orders placed via the Barnes website after 12AM Thursday August 21st will automatically be entered. The 39th completed order received (based on the official order confirmation timestamp in Barnes’ Woocommerce order system) will be deemed the winner.
