FOAMO Soft Flexible Silicone Foam
FOAMO is a versatile two-part, platinum-cure silicone foam that expands as it cures to create a lightweight, soft and flexible foam. With approximately 4 times expansion from its original volume, FOAMO is ideal for applications where a resilient, flexible silicone foam is required.
Suitable for both industrial and creative applications, FOAMO can be used for gaskets, cushioning, vibration reduction, cavity filling, fire-stop applications and high-temperature components. The cured foam offers excellent resistance to weathering, environmental exposure and ageing, with temperature resistance ranging from approximately -60°C to 250°C.

Applications

Mixing & Curing
Mix 1 part A to 1 part B by volume. Thoroughly mix Part A and Part B until the material is uniform in colour and consistency. Mix for approximately 1–2 minutes, scraping the sides and bottom of the mixing container to ensure a complete blend.
Once mixed, FOAMO has a pour time of approximately 3–5 minutes at 25°C and will expand to approximately 4 times its original volume as it cures. Allow sufficient space within the mould or cavity to accommodate this expansion.
Demould time is approximately 3–5 hours at 25°C, with a full cure reached in approximately 24 hours. Cure times can vary depending on the thickness of the application and ambient temperature, with warmer temperatures accelerating the cure and cooler temperatures extending it.
Platinum Silicone Cure Inhibition
FOAMO is a platinum-cure (addition-cure) silicone and may be susceptible to cure inhibition when in contact with incompatible materials. Substances containing amines, sulphur, tin compounds and certain nitrogen-containing materials may interfere with the cure.
Ensure all tools, moulds and substrates are clean and compatible before use. If compatibility is uncertain, we recommend carrying out a small test before proceeding with the final application.
Storage & Safety
Store FOAMO tightly sealed in a cool, dry location at approximately 25°C. For best results, use within the recommended shelf-life period.
