Ultracal 30 is the most widely used gypsum cement with the lowest expansion rate available. This gypsum is the industry standard for casting foam latex, such as our Monster Makers Foam Latex. Widely in the SPFX industry. Offering the highest strength with less tendency to warp. Excellent for case moulds, It provides extremely low expansion properties, gradual set and a long period of plasticity. Ultracal 30 Gypsum Cement is water soluble – there is no need for organic solvents for cleanup. A traditional tooling gypsum cement, specially formulated for close tolerance tooling where extreme accuracy and surface hardness are required.
Makes hard, super strong precise molds. Can be heated in an oven. Please note that this product is not for use on skin and is NOT a life casting material. For professional use only! This product may be used for making moulds of industrial patterns. When mixed with water, UltraCal undergoes a chemical reaction which causes it to harden and then slowly become very hot and highly alkaline (corrosive to skin like drain cleaner). Do not mix with your hands. Please use a paint paddle or jiffy mixer as this is recommended to produce the best mixed consistency.
Low absorption Ultracal 30 Gypsum Cement:
– Is recommended where extreme accuracy and surface hardness are required (i.e. duplicator molds)
– Provides the lowest expansion of any rapid-setting gypsum cement
– Sets 25-35 minutes after machine mixing
– Requires 38 parts water by weight per 100 parts plaster
