Description

Traditional Rainbow Patina is a very interesting finish. Depending on the application method and the metal used, many different finishes can be created using this patina. For best results, apply to a shiny and clean metal surface. This patina does not work with the Metal Coatings. This product is sold in a 1L ready to use spray bottle. Brass:

  • Clean metal with Metal Cleaner (do not sandblast).
  • Apply two coats of Rainbow Patina to hot metal (200-220°F).
  • Additional coats will bring more silver colors.
  • Wash while hot for brightest colors.
  • When dry, protect the finish with 2 coats of Clear Guard.

Copper:

  • Clean metal with Metal Cleaner (do not sandblast).
  • Apply 1-2 coats of Rainbow Patina to hot metal (200-220°F).
  • Do not wash.
  • When dry, protect the finish with 2 coats of Clear Guard.
  • The color will continue to develop for 1-2 days.

Cold Rolled Steel:

  • Clean metal with Metal Cleaner (do not sandblast).
  • Apply Rainbow Patina to hot metal (200-220°F).
  • Wash while hot.
  • When dry, protect the finish with 2 coats of Clear Guard.

Stainless Steel:

  • Clean metal with Metal Cleaner (do not sandblast).
  • Apply many coats of Rainbow Patina to hot metal (200-220°F).
  • Wash while hot.
  • When dry, protect the finish with 2 coats of Clear Guard.
