Barnes will always endeavour to use the best form of transport for your goods, to ensure prompt delivery as well as being priced competitively. The freight costs as calculated by our online ordering system is priced competitively. We may need to update our prices from time to time to ensure prices remain competitive.

To provide a competitive delivery price, we need to gather your goods being ordered and choose the best sized cartons to reduce shipping costs.
We are happy to quote your freight by phone or email once we've received your order details.
Goods will be dispatched within five working days of order being received, subject to availability of products at time of processing.
If the goods you have ordered are out of stock they will not automatically be backordered. In the event that you order a product which is not currently in stock, Barnes will contact you to arrange a suitable course of action.
Goods will be dispatched via courier transport or Australia Post. All goods dispatched via Australia Post will be by registered post or express post.
- Products sent by Aus Post can take 5 - 10 business days
- Products sent by Courier generally take be 4-5 business days excluding rural
- Products sent by Courier in rural areas generally take 4-10 business days
After your order has been shipped you will receive an email informing you of your order’s consignment number and the carrier it is shipping with.
International Shipping Information
Barnes are happy to accept international orders, please complete your order online and we will contact you via email with your freight options and costs. All goods are quoted in Australian Dollars (AUD).
Some products are difficult to ship overseas due to their hazardous nature and the costs involved in dangerous goods prepartion, we will contact you regarding these items if they're on your order.
Once the international order is prepared and a quote provided, payment will be requested prior to despatch. Credit card payments are accepted under $500. Orders over $500 will require payment to be made via telegraphic transfer only.
Some products listed on this site are regarded as dangerous goods and cannot be dispatched via Australia Post. Reference to whether a product is classified as a dangerous good is available by referring to Materials Safety Data Sheet (MSDS).
Any product regarded as being a dangerous good will be dispatched via courier transport only.
Dangerous goods and heavy/large items may incur extra freight charges. If freight costs differ greatly from online calculations you will be notified via email or phone prior to dispatch of order. In this instance, a confirmation of payment of freight charges will be required from you prior to order being dispatched.
Goods dispatched via courier transport may arrive anytime during normal business hours. If you are not at the address provided at time of purchase when the courier arrives, you should receive a calling card in order to retrieve your goods from the courier company.
If you will not be at the address when the courier arrives you may leave instructions for the courier to leave the goods where you instruct. Please note that Barnes takes no responsibility for goods left at premises if a signature is not obtained at time of delivery.
Please note Barnes is not able to provide an estimated time of arrival of goods dispatched via courier transport.
Authority to Leave
By ticking the Authority to Leave box at checkout you are giving the selected transport company permission to leave your order at your premises without obtaining a signature for receipt of goods. The responsibility of these goods becomes solely yours once they are despatched from Barnes’ premises.
Permission to Return and to Receive Credit
We will accept return of goods only if in saleable condition and written notification is received within 7 days of receipt. We will issue credit to your account or credit card in Australian dollars. For unwanted merchandise the cost of return shipping shall be the responsibility of the customer.
Damaged or Incorrect Merchandise
We will, upon your request, replace any merchandise that is received in damaged condition or as a result of a packing error. No goods will be accepted or replacements issued without prior approval issued in writing by Barnes to return such merchandise. Barnes must be notified of faulty or incorrect products within 7 days from date of invoice.
